Fast Forward course  in May the focus is:  Your personal alignment in asana’s

By focusing on one theme for four weeks you can really grow in your yoga practice.

Samana introduces the Fast Forward Course. Each month a new series of four weeks begins, with the focus on one of the pillars of yoga and what its practice can mean. In this way your practice can really grow.

Focus in May:  Your personal alignment in asana’s

 If your body is in good alignment yoga postures feel stable and pleasant, you can do them effortless.
During this four week course you learn about the correct body postures and you learn to find your natural alignment, experiencing it from within.

  • in this course we look at the human anatomy
  • in a series of special alignment practices you learn to find your own personal body ailgnment
  • We use the vayu’s and the bandhas (energy centres) to activate the flow of energy within your body, your nervous system and your meridians (nadis).
  • We then go into a dynamic flow of standing asana’s. We work on the synchronization of breath and movement in a dynamic series of asana’s.
  • You receive a handout with exercises you can do at home with this course.

About alignment
When you move into yoga postures your whole body moves. You use will-power to arrive in the posture. You haven’t found the subtle details of the pose yet. It’s like a child, repeating what you say, but not knowing the exact sounds of the words yet.
A yoga pose comes to life when the pose is stable: your back is quiet and in the posture you can feel the connection from your feet, through your stomach (samana) to your sacrum. That’s alignment!

Standing poses are the basis of all yoga asana’s. They give you strength, a good balance and more self-confidence. The Standing poses increase the circulation of your prana, life energy and it feels great! Specially when you can move into a easy flow sequence, after studying your natural alignment.

Repeating the same series of standing asana’s for four weeks your self-confidence grows. By repeating the movements the right alignment becomes natural and you will not loose it again. Your yoga becomes more stable and pleasant. Yoga becomes even more beneficial for your body.

Eveline Torres as a teachers keeps studying aspects of yoga who loves to share her insights with her students. She takes regular retreats with Orit Sen Gupta, the founder of Vijnana yoga. Her insights are reflected in this Fast Forward Course in a careful program of lessons of four weeks, building up the experience and knowledge in a way you can really enrich your yoga practice.
