“Meditations”:  a painting exposition by Mirella Misi

Images that trigger the imagination and moves one to contemplate and to wonder.

In “Meditations”, Misi portrays human like figures which blends with their background, as if made of the same matter. The use of vibrant colors and free brush strokes which dissolve into each other gives dynamics to the paintings, insinuating that everything is entangled in constant movement.

The exhibition invites to a meditation on the nature of perception, illusion, representation and the role of imagination in the way we are constantly re-shaping our understanding of reality.

Mirella Misi is coordinator of Slash Art Amsterdam, PhD in Arts and an independent researcher. Her work has being presented in many venues in Holland, England, Portugal and Brazil.
