In this intense but joyful summer workshop two experienced teachers, Samana’s Eveline Torres (NL) and guest teacher Rusty Davis (US) meet. They will give you a powerful healing yoga weekend. You combine breathing techniques, meditations and krya’s with the joyful roll and release practice.
Give yourself time to experience the deep relaxation in this special yoga weekend.
Roll & Release Intensive Part 1:
Saturday we concentrate on the deeper practice’s of releasing the neck, back, shoulders and arms. A journey into deeper waters of healing through roll and release. Breathing relaxation techniques and yin asanas that produce awareness and letting go.
Roll & Release Intensive Part 2:
Sunday we concentrate on the deeper practice’s, releasing the hips, glutes, core muscles and legs. We will jump feet first into healing and flexibility through Roll & Release, Breathing relaxation techniques and yin asanas for more energy and flexibility.
Roll and release practice is a pathway to healing, flexibility, letting go of tensions and pains. Letting go of emotional energy that cause suffering, is simple and for everyone! You will experience that your asana’s become more stable and light.
We use “tools” like tennis balls and blocks to massage and manipulate the Miofascial tissue, a membrane within that holds our energy body, emotional body and is the number two cause of inflexibility and tension. Sometimes through emotional traumas, physical injuries, overuse of muscles, lack of movement and just life in general, this membrane can hold tensions causing us suffering and pain.
Roll and release yoga is a quick and powerful solution to all these situations and after a session you will feel more energetic, more flexible in the body and free from mental and physical tensions.
After this weekend you worked your body in such a way that you feel a deep relaxation, which makes your yoga asana practice lighter and nicer.
You can take home a nice ‘suitcase full of tools’. With these tools you can release tensions in your body any time you want.
About guest teacher Rusty Davis (VS)
Rusty has over 10 years experience of studying and teaching yoga. In his teachings he draws from his experience in Radiantly Alive Vinyasa in Ubud Bali, Indonesia, Hatha yoga from Sri Dharma Mittra, Yin yoga from Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers, Power yoga from Denise Payne of One Song Yoga, Iyengar yoga from Varanasi, India and Restorative yoga. Rusty is also pioneering a miofascial release technique called “Roll & Release”. He combines these styles into a yoga experience that is unique, powerful, fun and from the heart. Rusty has a passion for yoga that is contagious, therapeutic and joyful, inspiring students everywhere to feel the same.:
