Refresh and renew
In this workshop you will learn the techniques that help you to refresh and renew. The upper back, neck and shoulders will receive attention. The workshop is suitable for all levels.
What are we going to do in the workshop?
The upper back, neck and shoulders are often tensed and strained, caused by computer- and deskwork. Those body parts deserve relaxation. In this session they will be taken care of.You relax your shoulders, neck and the upperback by practising a serie of asana’s. We start with sitting asana’s, arm-shouldervariations and twists. After that we will build on a serie of good backbends.We finish with shoulderstand variations. This is how you open your heart and let your energy flow. By this we work on the power and balance of the area, so that you can easily find your natural position in which you are most comfortable; even when sitting behind your desktop. We prepare for the serie of asana’s with breathing exercises, you that your body is totally relaxed and open for the healing effects of your yogapractice.
About Therapeutic Yoga
In this form of yoga you will learn techniques to recover and renew:
- Conscious relaxation
- Observing your own habits and imbalances
- Breathing exercises
- Maintain a pose longer in a pleasurable and easy way. By maintaining a pose, your body is able to relax, balance and improve itself. By holding the posture and focus on your breathing, you practice to stay calm and relaxed. This is helpful for mental and physical stamina. Also it will help your body to come back into a natural and healthy basic pose.
